What Do You Need to Find?
| PSTS surveys still requiredRun PSTS data required/blank. This is the working to-do list to drive toward zero before reporting. | All PSTS-eligible recordsRun PSTS data – all eligible when you need the full candidate population, including answered records. |
| Surveys already reportedUse PSTS successfully reported to review records already sent to CALPADS. | A student is on the list but should not be eligibleReview the student's Inactive/exit/completion information instead of simply removing the student from the work list. |
The PSTS workflow uses the survey values on the student record. Do not make an inactive former student Active just to enter or report PSTS data.

Find PSTS Surveys Still Required
- Select Search → Predefined Queries.
- Open the Data Monitoring tab.
- Select PSTS data required/blank.
- Search to the Post-Secondary list.
- Use this as the primary PSTS completion work queue.
Goal before reporting: understand and resolve every record on this list. Eligible records need survey responses entered; records that are not actually eligible need the underlying exit/completion information corrected.

Use the Data Monitoring predefined PSTS queries to identify required, eligible, and successfully reported survey records.
Find All PSTS-Eligible Records
From the same Data Monitoring predefined-query area, use PSTS data – all eligible when you need the full possible survey population regardless of whether responses have already been entered.
This population is useful when building the original contact/mailing list or reviewing progress across the full group.
Find Surveys Already Reported
Use PSTS successfully reported to review records whose PSTS responses have already been reported to CALPADS.
Use the Post-Secondary Student List
- Go to Reporting → Student Lists → Predefined Lists.
- Open the Data Monitoring tab.
- Select the Post-Secondary list.
The source article identifies this list as containing student name, School Attending, contact name/address/email/phone, primary Postsecondary Status answer, and secondary Postsecondary Status answer.

Use the Post-Secondary Student List to review contact information and survey-response fields for the PSTS population.

The Post-Secondary list is the working view for contact information, primary status, secondary status, and survey progress.
If your district uses mailing addresses assembled from SIRAS contact data, see Mailing Contacts.
A Student Is on the List but Should Not Be Eligible
Review the student's Inactive information, exit reason, and completion information. If the underlying data incorrectly makes the student eligible for PSTS, correct that source data rather than simply ignoring the record.
If the eligibility difference is not clear, use Data Monitoring Help. If you cannot remove an ineligible record after the verified source has been corrected, contact SIRAS Support.
