CALPADS Error Summary
This page is a quick lookup for common CALPADS IVR codes, certification errors, and related reporting messages. Use the complete error text and the applicable reporting date when selecting a resolution.
For validations generated within SIRAS before submission, use SIRAS Built-in Validation System. Before changing data, apply Process for Error Resolution.
Confirm what occurred in the field, review SIRAS and CALPADS history, and identify the correct source before editing data.

General and Ownership Errors
GERR0001 — Required Field Missing
CALPADS cannot accept the transaction without the named field. Open the archive linked by the Report Event Date, enter the accurate missing value, determine whether Current data also needs correction, clear the imported IVR, and resend.
GERR0005 — LEA Does Not Have Ownership for PLAN or SERV
First confirm that the student was enrolled and participating and that the district should report the PLAN or SERV transaction.
- If the Plan Effective Date is correct, correct or add the CALPADS enrollment needed to overlap that date.
- If the enrollment is correct, review whether the Plan Effective Date or Report Event Date in the archived transaction is wrong.
- If the student was not participating, determine whether the PLAN should be sent at all.
GERR0005 — LEA Does Not Have Ownership for SWDS
Confirm the student's actual participation start and the overlapping CALPADS enrollment.
- If the SWDS Status Effective Date is correct, correct or add the applicable CALPADS enrollment.
- If the enrollment is correct, review the SIRAS District Enrollment Date or other source of the participation-effective date in the archive.
- If participation had not begun, do not send a new SWDS [1] merely to remove the error.
IVR0612 — Existing PLAN with the Same Effective Start Date
Review CALPADS plan history and determine whether SIRAS is attempting to send a duplicate, a correction to an existing plan, or a previously completed archive that should not be resent.
Santa Clara SELPA special case: An archive dated before July 1, 2024 may previously have been sent under an older 43XX SELPA code and cannot simply be resent under SELPA 4310. Contact SIRAS Support or return the archive to Complete when appropriate.
MEET Errors
MEET0351 — Parent Consent Date Before Referral Date
Review the source documents. Correct the actual Referral Date or Parent Consent Date in Current data, then correct the pending or meeting archive separately. Do not create a new archive solely to correct the rejected historical transaction.
MEET0426 — Missing Meeting Delay Code
Enter the accurate Meeting Delay code and label in the affected archive. When the meeting only appears late because the date was changed to a continuation date, restore the actual original meeting date instead of adding an inaccurate delay reason.
MEET0721 — Invalid Pending As Of Date
The prior Error Summary identified this as CALPADS known issue 7146. Verify the current CALPADS known-issues list before changing accurate data. Follow the current workaround or wait for resolution when CALPADS still identifies it as a system issue.
PLAN Errors
PLAN0390–PLAN0397 — Postsecondary Transition Fields
DINC 4 / Postsecondary Transition Fields. Use DINC 4: Transition Regulation Indicators & PLAN0390–PLAN0397. That guide consolidates the current DINC 4 monitoring workflow, preventive age-based review, and the older scenario-specific PLAN0390–PLAN0397 resolution history.
Use the complete current error text and affected reporting date. Do not apply the old 2025 dates or blank-to-N resend assumptions to a different reporting period without verifying the current archive and SIRAS/CALPADS behavior.
PLAN0372 — Invalid Plan Type and Program Setting Combination
Open the affected archive and review the student's age, grade, plan type, and Program Setting. Correct the archived transaction and Current data when both are inaccurate.
PLAN0658 — Invalid Degree of Support and Disability Combination
Determine whether Degree of Support is required for the student's disability. When it is not required, remove it from Current data and from the affected archive, clear the IVR, and resend. Do not create a new archive solely for this correction.
SENR and Certification Errors
SENR0439 / CERT147 — Adult Age Transition Status Required
This value is controlled through the applicable CALPADS enrollment information. Review SENR0439 or CERT147 for the field meaning and correction steps.
SENR0606F1 / SENR0606E4 — Missing Plan for an Enrolled SWDS [1] Student
Determine whether the student needs a receiving-district Plan Adoption, an Initial Evaluation future-start correction, an enrollment correction, or another historical PLAN transaction.
- Use the SENR0606 flowchart.
- For an Initial IEP before Census Day with participation beginning afterward, review SENR0606 Scenario 1.
- For incoming students, review Plan Adoption – Incoming Students and CALPADS Reporting.
SERV Errors
SERV0327 — Missing Nonpublic Agency Identifier
Confirm that the service provider is an NPA and enter the correct Nonpublic Agency Identification Code in the service and affected archive.
SERV0447 — Invalid Nonpublic Agency Identifier
Confirm the provider and code against the current CDE Nonpublic Schools and Agencies certification information. See NPA Help for SERV0447 and SERV0327.
SWDS Errors
SWDS0618 — New Status Must Differ from Previous Status
SIRAS is attempting to send a status already present in CALPADS.
- If CALPADS already contains the correct status and everything required from the SIRAS event was reported, return the unnecessary archive transaction to Complete.
- If the CALPADS status is wrong or was reported by the wrong district, correct or remove that status before attempting to send the correct SIRAS transaction.
Course, DRDP, and Special Cases
CRSE0640F2 — Special Education Course with General Education Students
The current Error Summary describes a Fall 2 scenario in which a special education student has no MEET records. When the student is currently in special education, the documented approach is to use the MEET-only report-status option from an appropriate recent archive to send the most recent plan review. When the student is not currently in special education, review the SWDS history and contact SIRAS Support.
DRDP Invalid Field Value — ASRS_NAME
The Primary Assessor Name cannot contain certain special characters or credentials. Enter the person's name without suffixes or credential punctuation, such as changing “Marty McFly, M.S., CCC-SLP” to “Marty McFly.”
Return to PSTS Survey Workflow: Report Responses to CALPADS
Preserved PSTS error example from the former standalone Article 567.
The source article also identifies a second PSTS0481 situation: the student exited the reporting district and later re-enrolled at another district. In that situation, the former article directs staff to remove the PSTS survey answer from CALPADS and remove the answer from the SIRAS MIS/PSTS area. Do not archive.
If the student's prior-year SENR history does not contain an applicable exit reason or completion status, the source article says the student is not eligible to have the PSTS survey posted. Clear the survey answers in SIRAS after verifying the actual student history.
- Exit Reason: E125, E140, E300, E400, E410, or T280; or
- Completion Status: 100, 120, 250, 320, 330, or 360.
The former PSTS Error Help article identifies the following prior-year SENR conditions as qualifying examples for PSTS eligibility:
PSTS0481 — Student Is Not Eligible for PSTS
The former PSTS Error Help article says this occurs when the same PSTS survey response has been duplicated in the secondary survey response. Review the Primary and Secondary Postsecondary Status answers and use the blank option at the top of the PSTS menu to remove the unintended duplicate answer.
Source message: Only one record may exist in the file with the same SSID, School of Attendance, and Student School Start Date.
PSTS IVR0034 — Duplicate PSTS Survey Response
- Compare the student's exit history in SIRAS and CALPADS.
- If the SIRAS exit date is wrong, correct the SIRAS source.
- If the CALPADS exit date is wrong, correct the applicable CALPADS/SENR history.
- Do not change a correct exit date merely to make the two systems agree.
The former PSTS Error Help article defines this PSTS-specific GERR0005 condition as the SIRAS exit date being in a different academic year from the exit date in CALPADS.

When the Error Is Not Listed
- Copy the complete error code and message.
- Use Process for Error Resolution.
- Review the current CALPADS error list and known issues.
- Search the SIRAS Knowledge Base using the exact code.
- Review related errors and submission logs for the same student.
- Contact SIRAS Support after one or two informed correction attempts.
The prior article routed users first to Padlet collections for IVR and CDD resolutions. Those resources may remain useful for historical scenarios, but this article and the linked current procedures should be the primary navigation path.
