New query for 'Degree of Support for Disability needs reporting' added.
Go to Search, Predefined Queries, Data Monitoring
This button will find records that have had Degree of Support updated, but not archived yet. We need to get them archived to send.
Parent Response Update: The option for 'Does not accept the plan / stay put' will now be 'Does not accept the plan / stay put / no plan'
This allows for closing meeting documentation events for non participation scenarios.

Parent Response Update: Starting the second week of March the parent response of 'Awaiting Consent' will be relabeled to be 'Awaiting Response'.
The new 'Awaiting Response' will function exactly the same as 'Awaiting Consent' but with more clarity on the intent of the itinerant response.

UPDATE 3/27/2025:
The SIRAS TOMS API Update feature has been disabled until further information on how to distribute accommodations per testing type can be programmed into the feature.
In the meantime, Staff can continue to use the built in SIRAS CAASPP/ELPAC data exports to generate accommodation settings files for upload into TOMS.
Thank you for your patience until we can augment the API functionality hopefully by next Fall.

Subject: Fall 2 Deadline Reminder: LEAs Should Ensure ZERO Fatal Errors by February 28
Dear Local Educational Agency (LEA) Representatives,
This is a reminder that the certification deadline for the 2024–25 CALPADS Fall 2 Submission is March 21, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
LEAs are also reminded that there is no amendment window for the Fall 2 Data Submission.
It is recommended that LEAs have zero fatal errors by February 28th so there is time for staff to review and approve their Fall 2 submission by the March 21, 2025 deadline.
This February 28th milestone date is noted on the CDE CALPADS Calendar web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/ds/sp/cl/rptcalendar.asp, and was noted in the CALPADS Digest emailed on February 7.

CDE Data Quality Checks Errors posted into SIRAS
A new 'clear all' button was added to the MIS Summary page for staff who want to clear all errors displaying lots of DRDP errors.
DRDP errors will be naturallly removed once the DRDP record has been completed, validated and new DRDP data uploaded to draccessdata.org

- Due to upcoming Annual Determination Data pull by CDE on 12/13/2024, SIRAS has opted to roll back the default reporting period block of sending events dated on or after Fall 1 Census day of 10/2/2024. Moving forward, the reporting period block will only default during EOY4 census.

9/20/2024 Native Language Update:
'Sign language' [sgn], has been replaced by 'American Sign Language' with new code of [ase] and the original [sgn] code now represents 'Other Sign Language' as it's new label.
This way the majority of Sign Language students speaking American Sign Language already had their language updated.
Then for the students who are not speaking American Sign Language, their native language can be updated to Other Sign Language as appropriate if it has not already been updated by your districts SIS integration with SIRAS.

9/17/2024: CALPADS Data Rollover for 24-25 school year is complete, we suggest waiting until 9/19/2024 before sending data to CALPADS again.
9/16/2024 43XX SELPA Merge: The districts and school of Santa Clara SELPA 4301, 4302, 4303, 4304 & 4307 have been merged into 4310.
There should be minimal to no impact on users. If staff are having trouble navigating the view scope dialog box, contact support@sirassystems.com

- Make sure your EL Status for TK students is TBD - Guidance Regarding Transitional Kindergarten and ELPAC, per the passage of AB 2268
- Reporting period block in CALPADS reporting will be updated to the 10/2/2024 date after the CALPADS rollover.
- Be aware of new DRDP grade requirements
In addition to these live updates, there are also regularly occurring tasks depending upon what time of year it is.
For instance this is August, it is the beginning of school for many LEAs and soon for others.
