Scenario 1 — “Current Goal(s) need to be updated with final progress”
What happened
- Staff completed an Initial Evaluation.
- The student was found eligible.
- The meeting was finalized.
- When the meeting finalized, the developing goals moved to Current Goals.
- The meeting was later reactivated.
- Staff then tried to re-finalize the reactivated meeting.
SIRAS displays:
“Current Goal(s) need to be updated with final progress.”
In this reactivated-meeting scenario, the final-progress message is misleading.
The original Initial Evaluation was already finalized and its developing goals already became Current Goals. Do not change Current Goal progress solely to make this reactivated meeting pass the validation.

Resolution
This scenario is resolved by using Disable validations for meeting held/finalize under Print/Preview/Options, then finalizing the meeting with the correct meeting-held and parent-response information.
Administrator-only action.
Disabling meeting validations requires a District Admin 1 or higher SIRAS role. If you do not have that role, contact the appropriate SIRAS administrator rather than changing goal/progress data to clear this message.
