CDE Data Quality Checks Errors posted into SIRAS
A new 'clear all' button was added to the MIS Summary page for staff who want to clear all errors displaying lots of DRDP errors.
DRDP errors will be naturallly removed once the DRDP record has been completed, validated and new DRDP data uploaded to draccessdata.org
November 2024
- Due to upcoming Annual Determination Data pull by CDE on 12/13/2024, SIRAS has opted to roll back the default reporting period block of sending events dated on or after Fall 1 Census day of 10/2/2024. When the SPED to SWDS rollover happened in Fall of 2023, the SWDS programming in CALPADS was new and SIRAS believed the reporting period lock for Fall 1 2023 was a critical component in not sending extraneous data at that time. Now that the SWDS protocol has been refined and proven over the 2023-2024 academic year, we believe there isn't a practical need for the reporting period block during the Fall 1 census period. The reporting period block will be set to default for the EOY 4 census where it is still critical to have in place. If staff want to prevent report event dates of 10/3/24 or later, the reporting period block is still available to be enabled if desired.

School Admin 1 role update: Added 'createStudent'
School Admin 2 role udpate: Added 'viewIncomingStudents'

9/20/2024 Native Language Update:
Sign language [sgn], has been replaced by American Sign Language [ase] and a new code of Other Sign Language [sgn] has been added.
This way the majority of Sign Language students speaking American Sign Language already had their language udpated.
Then for the studnets who are not speaking American Sign Language, their native language can be updated to Other Sign Language as appropriate if it has not already been updated by your districts SIS integration with SIRAS.
9/17/2024: CALPADS Data Rollover for 24-25 school year is complete, we suggest waiting until 9/19/2024 before sending data to CALPADS again.
9/16/2024 43XX SELPA Merge: The districts and school of Santa Clara SELPA 4301, 4302, 4303, 4304 & 4307 have been merged into 4310.
There should be minimal to no impact on users. If staff are having trouble navigating the view scope dialog box, contact [email protected]
SIS Integration staff be advised: studentData.csv is having a header update. Effective as of 9/1/2024

Login to sirastraining.vcoe.org to review contact data pulled from Q to see if the results of the data pull will work for production SIRAS.

In addition to these live updates, there are also regularly occurring tasks depending upon what time of year it is.
