SIRAS Student Data
- Current MIS data populates new IEP Manager Form Data
- Current MIS data is updated by Meeting Form Data
- When Current MIS data is archived, a CALPADS transaction is created.
- Archived MIS data is a transaction.
- Archived MIS data is a historical record.
- Searching of historical records can result in estimates of populations.
SIRAS Meeting Form Data
- Data flows from Current data into IEP Manager Fields.
- IEP Manager Fields are updated If parent accepts plan, Current data is updated by Meeting Form Data
- If stay put, Current data is NOT updated by Meeting Form Data
- If partial consent, Current data is NOT updated by Meeting Form Data
SIRAS Archived Transaction Procedures
- Only archived transactions send data to CALPADS
- Report status of archived transaction determines if record will be reported
- Archived transactions can be created manually on MIS page
- Archived transactions are created automatically when Forms Manager Events are finalized
Archived Report Status
- When archives are created, report status defaults to Pending
- Report status can be manually changed to DNR to clear bad data
- Report status can be manually changed to Pending to send CALPADS transaction
- Report status can be manually changed to Complete to reflect CALPADS transaction already successfully sent to CALPADS
IFSP Procedures
- IFSP part C referral, create SIRAS record, complete initial IFSP process. SSID required upon parental consent.
- IFSP student transfers to your district, adopt the IFSP plan and report IFSP plan adoption to CALPADS
- IFSP student is exited before Part C to B Initial
- IFSP student has part C to B initial IEP at same district
- IFSP student has part C to B initial IEP by different district
Preschool Procedures
- Preschool referral for IEP. SSID required upon parental consent
- Preschool referral and won't start participating
- Preschool referral and will start participating
Kinder and TK Procedures
- Look for previous year's eligible not participating to see if they want to participate now in TK or K.
- Kinder transition meetings
HS Procedures
- 8th Grade districts fill in HS district as Next Year's District at beginning of 8th grade.
- When students turn 15 get the transition regulation questions answered in the IEP.
- What to do when HS inherits a plan with no tran_reg filled in.
- Completer must be reported to CALPADS from SIRAS.
Private School Procedures
