If your district is interested in having SIRAS translate your IEPs, your District Sped Clerk can:
- go to the Finalized meeting where the IEP is needed translation.
- If Translation Required is not already check, check that.
- Now click the + SIRAS Translation Services: Create Request button (this button will only be available for users who have District Sped Clerk Access).
4. You will see a word count (in red) on the forms that have text in need of translation. Other forms containing popup menus SIRAS will translate automatically.
5. For Spanish translations, SIRAS charges $.18/word (since the form is already translated it is not included in the word count). Other languages will require a completely separate quote.
6. You will see the estimate, if it is acceptable check the 'I am authorized and approve the request for translation' checkbox.
7. Indicate if you just want the IEP Translated or if, in addition to the IEP, you want other documents such as a Speech/Language Assessment Report translated.
Click Submit Translation Request button below
8. SIRAS Translation Services will have the IEP translation completed within 5 working days; if the translation request is in a language other than Spanish we will provide you with the expected completion date along with the quote.
Yes, a human proficient in special ed lingo and acronyms will be performing the translations.
9. When completed Providers associated with the student record will be notified via 'Messages' tab on the SIRAS Home page and the District Sped Clerk will receive an email from Siras Systems that the translation has been completed.
After a few weeks, Siras Systems will invoice the district for the translations(s).
