Staff opened up Triennial meeting in SIRAS and found student no longer eligible as of the first meeting date.
Parent response was does not accept the plan or stay put at that point.
Then meeting was continued at a later date.
On that meeting continuation date it was determined that the parents agreed to the finding of no longer eligible.
The way to tell SIRAS this permission to move forward with sending SWDS 4 for no longer eligible but not as of the original meeting date is to manually make the record have the inactive date of when the permission to report no longer eligible.
It can coincide with a continuation meeting date.
This date could also be determined by the date the parents reach out and communicate this with the LEA in writing or on the phone.
Just make sure to document all such communications.
SEDS coordinator made the SIRAS record have Inactive date be the date of the continuation meeting by clicking the 'Active' button in the upper right hand corner of the SIRAS header bar, below the school house icon.
In the case the LEA gets approval for the plan, or ending of a plan at a later date, this same thing can be done by even without a continued meeting date.
This way when the meeting is closed, the inactive date in SIRAS sets the SWDS status effective date in alignment with parental agreement.
