Current Data:
Current data is what you see on the MIS Summary page for any given record.
What is on the MIS Summary page determines the SWDS, MEET, PLAN and SERV once the archive for reporting button is clicked on.
This information is generated by the the IEP paperwork process.
Current data SWDS, MEET, PLAN and SERV information as generated by the data entry of the IEP process.
is what it is as you view it on the MIS Summary page.
On a date like 10/2/2024 the data being viewed in SIRAS or any SEDS system holds reporting value.
So make sure to export it on that actual date this year.
Whenever reportable events occur in the IEP manager this archive is a transaction that can send SWDS, MEET, PLAN or SERV to CALPADS.
Current data on the MIS Summary page has several data types, student, service, contact, provider etc.
The student record determines the SWDS status by active status.
The student record determines the most recent meeting(s) by the status of initial evaluation date, special ed. initial entry start date, last IEP date and last EVAL date.
Current data is a reflection of current enrollment and referral status. Current data comprises records with all active status values.
The student records that have active status = active should already be enrolled and participating, or will be soon.
The student records that have active status = pending status are in a follow up status working toward being active or being closed out as inactive status. Local decision on how long records can stay pending.
The student records that have active status = inactive are not part of Fall 1, but are part of EOY4. During any given academic year, we would be focusing on report event dates >= 7/1 and reportable inactive reasons.
This is data that is 'currently' seen on the surface of any given SIRAS UI page that is not form related. It is the most recent data.
This Current data is what is cloned/coped into the archived transaction that is seen beneath the surface of the MIS Summary page UI.
It is a copy of what was there on the MIS Summary page as of when it was created. This transaction may be created by SEDS coordinator using the 'Archive for reporting' button on the MIS Summary page to update the program setting of a new 5yo in TK or K.
Or more likely the transaction will be created at the conclusion of an IEP manager event like an amendment, other review, 30 day review, annual plan review or triennial reevaluation created in the IEP manager.
