Aeries–SIRAS Integration: Start Here

New to Aeries with SIRAS? Here’s the big picture.
You are setting up two data directions. You do not need to understand every technical detail before you begin.
| Aeries → SIRASSIRAS pulls approved district data from Aeries. This direction uses an Aeries API Certificate/key and can keep demographic, enrollment, school, language, and approved contact information current in SIRAS. |
SIRAS → AeriesAeries picks up Special Education files from SIRAS. This direction uses the district’s SIRAS SFTP connection so Aeries can retrieve the SIRAS Student and Services files. |
Your first three district tasks
- Create the Aeries API Certificate/key.
- Confirm your SIRAS SFTP connection works.
- Upload the API Certificate/key securely to SIRAS through SFTP.

If your question is what fields Aeries may update in SIRAS, use Aeries to SIRAS API Reference: Fields, Defaults & Optional Mapping.
