Proper guardian contact procedure for signatures

When trying to get a signature or proof of agreement or disagreement, any given LEA staff member should be aware of local policy on how to document contact with parents or guardians.

That policy should have a timeline of say 30 days where we can consider lack of response to be not agreeing.

The amount of time your district will be a local decision of course but typically should not be more than 60 days from initial contact to get closure on a meeting.

Once all contact attempts and lack of response are fully documented your district can then close the meeting out with the appropriate parent response.
