Checklist for Avoiding Common Errors on SIRAS

If there are missing items on the forms, after the form has been submitted SIRAS will list missing items as orange form warnings in the Status column in the Forms Manager.  Form warnings will not prevent you in any way to proceed with the IEP process.

Many times you fill out the forms as much of the IEP that you can with creating any issues concerning redetermination, what has not been filled out will be orange form warnings.  Use those orange form warnings on the Forms Manager as an agenda of the issue needed to be discussed during the meeting.

If developing a draft, you may not know what to enter until the meeting; therefore, the orange form warnings can act like an agenda for your meeting.  They will act as ‘reminders’ of what will need to be addressed. When all the orange form warnings have been addressed, there will be a green check in the Status column.

TIP: Hover the mouse over the green check or the orange form warning and you will see a history of users (name, date/time) that have participated in the development of the form.
