Data Export: Special Ed and 504 Data from SIRAS to SIS
SIRAS generates data files containing student and service information for transfer to a district Student Information System (SIS). The files are recreated nightly on the SIRAS SFTP server, generally between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.
SFTP credentials are provided to districts for SIS integrations or upon request. Contact SIRAS Support when access or implementation assistance is needed.

File Specifications
- File format: Comma-separated values (CSV) with a single header row.
- Recommended processing: Map each header to the corresponding SIS data point, match students by SSID, and assign values based on the defined headers.
- File transfer: SFTP at
ftp.sirassystems.org, port7472. - Coded data: Some coded values are exported in separate code and label columns. Use the specific header for each data point.

Recommended record match:
Match records in the SIS using SSID. Because much of this information is intended for reference, districts may display header/value pairs directly or translate selected headers into SIS-specific labels.

Exported Files
studentData.csv
Includes all Active Special Ed current records. It also includes qualifying Inactive records when the Inactive Date is within the applicable current-year/recent-history window. Inactive records are sourced from the most recent archive so the export can retain an Inactive record even after a student transfers to another district or changes designation.
serviceData.csv
Includes service data, including Supplemental and ESY services, for the Special Ed students represented in studentData.csv.
504StudentData.csv
Includes all Active 504 Plan records.
Special Ed export limitations:
- Students made Inactive in SIRAS who do not yet have an archive may not be included. This can include Moved and Continuing students, students who stopped participating in Special Ed, and other inactive situations where an archive has not yet been created.
- Records with Pending status in SIRAS, including new referrals and students new to the district, are not included.

SIRAS continues to export the legacy tableA.csv and tableB.csv files:
