Historical Query Type
Student records in SIRAS will have one current record, associated with any number of historical archived records,
typically one for each meeting event that occurred. These data set specifications, together with any additional criteria,
will enable you to locate the most relevant records for any queries on historical data.
Historical Queries allow you to find:
- One specific archive of a student that left your district.
- All archives sent to CALPADS for an entire academic year.
- Current records that have or don't have associated archives with specific criteria
- And more!
Predefined Historical Queries are available for the most common use cases:
- Plan Adoption Required
- Fall/EOY Census Count Estimates
Example below, finding an older archive with a specific report event date generating a CALPADS IVR error for another district.
So you need to remotely find that archive and make it DNR in SIRAS and remove data sent from it to CALPADS.
- search on the SSID, if you get zero results, it just means the 'current' record is no longer with your district
- Then click on Historical/Advanced
- Change historical query type from current to archived
- The default date range should allow you to find all archives your district sent within the last year
- CALPADS report status can be all to find all archives
- If you are looking only for archives sent to CALPADS
- Change CALPADS report status to 'complete'
- Click search to list
- Pick the archive needing to be updated from the list
If you want to search for all transactions from your district or school you can use this same method, just don't specify a specific SSID first.
