To set up two-way integration between AERIES and SIRAS, complete the following steps:
-
Configure AERIES for scheduled data imports to process the nightly files that SIRAS sends to the SFTP (SIRAS → AERIES).
-
Set up API access for SIRAS by granting the necessary permissions and providing the API key, allowing SIRAS to pull demographics and contact data from AERIES (AERIES → SIRAS).
Configuring AERIES to import data from SIRAS:
See THIS PAGE for AERIES' own documentation for this function.
The following parameters define where the Special Education Student and Services files will be stored, the name of the files, and the scheduled day(s) and time for the import to run.
There is also a button to import the files immediately. Once all selections have been made, click on the SAVE button.
In order to import Special Ed. data from SIRAS, you will need the sFTP information for your district from SIRAS.

Configuring AERIES permissions to allow SIRAS API Access:
AERIES Documentation for SIRAS API
For Aeries API connections we need the following areas checked to allow data pull from Aeries:
Permissions [Table/Program Area]
- Student Data / Student Data
- Student Data / Student Programs / Special Programs
- Student Data / Student Programs / Special Education
- Student Data / Contacts
- Attendance / Enrollment History
** Generate API Key (20 character key) (Ask SIRAS how to provide securely, don’t email!)
