Types of SIRAS data

Student Data

SIRAS is student data focused.

 

Student data can have 3 primary designations:

  • Special Ed.
  • 504
  • SST

 

Student data is the primary table as seen in the SIRAS User Interface (UI)

The MIS Summary page is a summary of the student data, service data, provider data

 

  • One student record may have one or more service records.
  • One student record may have one current DRDP record or many historical DRDP records
  • One student record may have one or more providers individually assigned to the record. (This gives access to those providers.
  • One student record should have a set of TOMS accommodations.
  • One student record may have one or many meeting events in the Forms/IEP Manager.
  • One student record may have one or more archived transactions on the MIS Summary page.
  • An archived transaction on the MIS summary page is a snapshot of current MIS Student and Service data as of a report event date.
  • Next Year's Student data is under /student info/next year's data

 

MIS Summary Student data:

  • LEA Identification
  • Referral Information
  • Student Demographics - should be sync'd with SIS data
  • Providers
  • Special Ed. Information
  • Service Data

 

Service data

  • Service data is seen at the bottom of the MIS Summary  page.
  • Service data on MIS is what populates the forms when providers open Service form.
  • Next Year's Service data is under /student info/next year's data

 

Contact Data

  • Contact data is seen under /Student Info/Student Profile/Contacts
  • Contact data should be present before providers open a meeting
  • Contact data should reflect educational rights holder in SIS
  • Contact data can be sync'd with SIS system

 

'Historical' Data

  • Typically we refer to archives on MIS page
  • Provider History per user under Manage Users is an example of how this can be used
  • Whatever data is archived can be found, listed and exported


SWDS, MEET, PLAN, SERV data

  • These types of records are reported by the archived transactions on the MIS Summary page
  • Initial Evaluations, Triennials and Exit Summaries can report SWDS
  • Initial Evaluations, Triennials and Annuals can report MEET
  • Any meeting including amendments can potentially report PLAN and SERV data

 

DRDP data

  • There are two sets of DRDP records created each year. 
  • DRDP records are archived after reporting ends.

 

TOMS data

  • Typically filled into an accommodations for in the Forms manager of IEP or 504 meeting events.
  • When meeting is complete and agreed to, SIRAS current Student data is updated.
  • SIRAS can report one student record accommodations via the API.
  • SIRAS can assist SEDS coordinator saving entire district set of student record accommodations.
  • SBAC and ELPA accommodations files can be downloaded for the entire district.

 

Meeting data

  • Meeting events are created in the Forms Manager aka IEP manager
  • When meeting events are completed and finalized with parental consent, PLAN and SERV records can be reported. MIS page data is updated.
  • When meeting events are completed and finalized but parents don't accept the plan. MIS page data is not updated.
  • When meeting events are finalized, MIS page is copied in an archived transaction.
  • When meeting events are finalized, Meeting event archives are created.
  • Meeting Reports is based on Meeting event archives.
