Fall 1 Program Setting Updates

PLAN0619F1 errors result in when students who have a perfectly good preschool appropriate program setting in their PLAN file in CALPADS now, will be turning 5 and in Kindergarten prior to the upcoming Census date in October typically.  This is happening year round but a majority of the updates occur at the beginning of each school year.

In addition to looking for students who will have outdated plans if not replaced prior to LEA Approve, we also need to look at students turning 5 years old who may still have blank % in Gen. Ed values.

The tools SIRAS has available now for this task can be found under /predefined queries/compliance concerns.

KDG requiring updated program data

This button will find all students who already are 5 and in Kindergarten who have an outdated program setting.

Once we find them, we update the program setting on the MIS page and archive it no earlier than their 5th birthday and a date they are enrolled.

Program Setting 203/204 for Grade > PRS

This button will find all students who are now in TK or above that still have a preschool setting based program setting,  these must be reviewed with your program specialist, director, or your SELPA contact to fixed as appropriate.

What if I fixed some and forgot to archive them?

Don't worry, under predefined queries/data monitoring, look for the 'Program Setting changed, needs reporting'

That button will find all the records where program setting has been changed but not archived yet.
